A wonderful Christmas

So it has been awhile since I have posted on here but with the health issues I have had and the holidays it has been very busy around here. All in all we had a wonderful Christmas. Santa brought Flip everything he wanted and he received lots of goodies from friends and family. For those of you who do not know we also got a puppy for Christmas. His name is Max and he is a boxer. He is very cute and sweet. He is growing very fast and I am hoping he'll be my running mate in a few weeks!! Our older dog Alex is not too happy with Max but hopefully he will come around.

Jeff, Flip & I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. We also hope you all enjoy the New Year!! We are planning to stay in, have friends over & eat lots of good food!! Everyone be safe and take care.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I Got What I Deserved!

I guess I finally got what I deserved. Jeff (who by the way is 5 years older than me) has had back problems ever since we have been married. I always pick on him and tell him "your an old man," "it can't be that bad." He always takes it well when I pick on him but at the same time he always says "one day Missy, it will happen to you and you will see." Jeff and I have this relationship where we pick on each other a lot. Its are way of being fun and loving at the same time (yes we have issues.) Anyway, I have been doing a lot of lifting and let's face it Flip is over half my size already so when I pick him up its like picking up over five 10lb bags of potatoes!! Well the other day I was leaning over and sneezed and to my surprise I felt a horrible pain in my lower back. I have been on a heating pad ever since praying for the pain to go away. Jeff (even though he has been very helpful through this) has enjoyed picking on me. He has said "all this from a sneeze? Wow baby you are getting old!!" I had to apologize for all these years that I made fun of him!! This morning I am feeling better and I just figured I needed to apologize to Jeff publicly so here it is baby:

I am sorry for making fun of you all these years! Thank you for taking care of me through this!

Decorating the Christmas Trees

Sunday we decorated our house for Christmas. Yes its a bit early (even for me) but Flip was ready to do it and we had the time. For those of you who know me well you know that I am very picky about my Christmas tree and decorations. When Flip was a year old I decided it was time to buy him his own tree so he would not care for mine. Just to let all of you know I have been collecting the ornaments on my tree for years. I have a lot of money and work in my tree! So Sunday when we decorated his tree he thought it was great!! He had the colored lights and fun kiddie ornaments, mine has white lights and glass ornaments. I figured this was good. He will be so tired from his tree he will not care about mine (his tree is 6 feet tall so it was a lot for him.) We finished his and I started mine. Jeff thought he'd help me by getting Flip to help him cook dinner (no matter what Dad is doing Flip wants to help cause Dad is the best.) HAHA!! The joke was on me. Flip didn't care to help Dad he wanted to help Mom. So holding my breathe I let him help me a bit but I had to catch myself many times from getting on to him. I probably got on to him more than I should have. It is suppose to be fun, right? Anyway, after a long evening of having "too much help" we put Flip to bed and went to bed ourselves. On Monday I found myself starring at "MY" tree wondering if I should rearrange the ornaments or not. Well after 2 hours of studying the tree I could not help myself. I moved the ornaments all around making "MY" tree mine again. This year Flip did not noticed when he got up from his nap but I am afraid that next year I will have to leave it however Flip man wants it.

Trick-o-Treat!!

Flip had a great time trick-o-treating!! We all dressed up (including our neighbor) and took Flip out. I am sure all the other families trick-o-treating wondered why it took 3 dressed up adults to take 1 four year old out....well, all I can say is "WE ARE JUST BIG KIDS TOO!!!"

Flip is already on to the next thing. While I was getting him ready for bed Friday night (taking is costume off and all that jazz) he asked me "Mom, can we put up our Christmas tree now?" I normally try to wait till after Thanksgiving but all it will take is one more "Mommy please let's put up our tree" and I will be pulling out all the Christmas stuff!! I know I am a sucker!!

Halloween 2008

I am starting this blog on Halloween cause I feel there is a lot to share in our lives lately!! Flip, as most of you know, is 4 and this is the first year that he has really gotten into the holidays at all. He was able to pick out his own Halloween costume this year and his pumpkins!! He has asked me every moring since the end of September "Mom, is it Halloween yet?" Every morning we talk about how many days are left and how many nights he has to sleep before it is here. This morning was so great when he asked and I finally got to say "YES!! Baby, it is Halloween!!" He squealed and laughed!! Its amazing how we forget as adults how much these holidays meant to us as a kid. Having a kid brings back all the excitement but 10x's more!! I think Jeff and I both are more excited about tonight and getting to watch Flip enjoy it than we ever were as kids!! I hope tomorrow I have some fun exciting things to tell you guys about with 'BATMAN' and his trick-or-treat adventure!!
